A GRATEFUL HEART.

February 2, 2026.

There is a song that has been on my heart this evening, it’s one we used to sing years ago. The lyrics go… Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the Holy One, give thanks, because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son! And now let the weak say I am strong. Let the poor say I am rich. Because of what the Lord has done for us. Give thanks.*

As I went about my evening chores, the song kept rising up within my spirit. I must have sang it 20 times. Pausing gently I began thanking the Father for the many things I have to be grateful for. It was then I began to realize that while I was singing, not one of the concerns I had recently tossed around in my head had been given any attention! My mind was at rest and the peace of God had flooded my heart.

A grateful heart. The simple act of giving thanks while going through our day. That special moment when we acknowledge our Father for His goodness and love for us. Thankfulness often leads to worship. Worship often leads to fellowship time with the Lord when we pause and wait on Him.

As I gave thanks, the joy of the Lord began to swirl inside my heart; the burdens I had been carrying seemed to disappear. Ironically, I had not realized I loaded those heavy burdens upon my back and was trying to carry them myself rather than giving them to Yeshua Jesus. This is where 1 Peter 5:7 comes into reality, “Casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.”

The Lord used a song to reveal to me how burdened I had become; busyness was the culprit. Distractions held me captive under the wagon load of responsibilities. They built up over a short time and exhaustion set in. It was very subtle yet it didn’t escape the Lord’s attention. He placed a song in my heart that held the key – That key was a grateful and thankful heart. It broke the strap that carried the burdens and they fell at the foot of the cross.

Pause for a moment during your day and tell your heavenly Father what you are thankful for. Allow gratitude to easily flow from your heart. He will join you in the song you sing unto Him!

Psalm 103:1-5 is a great place to start!

1.  Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2. Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:
3. Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,
4. Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving, kindness and tender mercies,
5. Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

May your week be abundantly blessed!

MYSTERY.

January 26, 2026.

Without a sound, without a word, without a voice being heard, yet all the world can see its story. Everywhere its gospel is clearly read so all may know. Psalm 19:3-4 TPT

LORD, I hear You even when You don’t say a word. I feel You as You rise within me. Your presence is unmistakable. Your glory is a mystery I long to unravel.

You are grace and light, power and might. You are the first and the last. You are the question everyone asks and the answer too many refuse to accept.

To me you are Savior, Father and friend. You are the beauty that lives inside of me and the one who gave me joy when You saved my soul. I will not wrestle with truth, simply because it is too high for me to understand.

You are immortal and eternal – You always were and always will be. YHWH – men cannot pronounce Your name. I am crucified with You, yet seated with You in heavenly places.

You are near and far – present with me, yet also with others. My mind cannot grasp such things, so I will embrace them with my heart.
